Sound

The Shrine live room has a multiple use sound system, for live and dance.

The stage is to one side of the room and is elevated approx. 5’ facing into the room. Opposite the stage is an elevated sound booth where live mix FOH and DJ mixers are located. The dance floor/viewing area is located between the two.

The JBL VRX line arrays are hung 3 deep each side of the stage, with 2 JBL 18” subs (4 total) built into the walls of the proscenium flanking the stage. This is the FRONT SYSTEM.

At the rear of the room, JBL VRX line arrays are 2 deep hung each side of the mix booth pointing towards the stage. Underneath the mix booth facing the stage are 4 more JBL 18” subs. This is the REAR SYSTEM.

Both the Yamaha LS9 FOH mixer and the Pioneer DJ mixer simultaneously feed a BSS London processor which feeds the FRONT and REAR systems as well as other parts of the venue.

Audio from the LS9 mixer runs through it’s own set of processing in the London and is tuned and crossed over for a live input from the stage. Signal is also directed to the REAR SYSTEM at minus 12db and delayed to the Coup D’état room. The LS9 mixer can feed the stage monitors the mix from the DJ mixer as well as 4 individual monitor mixes from any of the LS9 mixer inputs. A DJ can spin while live performers on stage can sing to the track. There are 24 inputs available from the stage to the LS9 mixer plus two wireless mics.

Signal form the DJ mixer is routed through a different set of processing in the London and is tuned and crossed over for a dance input from the DJ mixer. Output of the DJ mixer is focused at the center of the dance floor.

Mics and stands are as per spec sheet. Performances can be recorded via the CD recorder.
